Lavender Facial Tonic, a true offering from the sunny hills of Northern California's wine country, is comprised solely of the 'hydrosol' or floral water of French angustifolia lavender. Organically grown, this floral water has a delicate fragrance much like honey. Oil and water do mix. Simply, here's how the skin works: sweat glands and sebaceous glands in the dermis work together to produce a thin coating of oil and perspiration called the acid mantle. The acid mantle is the skin's protective barrier against disease. However, when the delicate balance of acidity and alkalinity (the pH balance) that makes up the acid mantle is disrupted, the skin is weakened. Directions:
True hydrosols (floral waters) can be used liberally all day long, as well as after cleansing to tone and balance the skin before moisturizing. Especially beneficial when combined with our Rosehip Treatment Oil as the combination of oil and water creates a natural emulsion on the skin.
