What is the purpose of a cleanser?
(A deceptively simple question.) A cleanser's purpose is to mix with and dissolve excess sebum, refine skin texture, lift metabolic impurities from tiny dermal pores, and provide a balanced condition for moisturizing. EH Cleansing Milks also soften and soothe. Cleansing should be done twice a day first thing in the morning, and before going to bed.

These Cleansing Milks are made with certified organic safflower and sunflower oils, as well as certified organic hydrosols and botanical extracts (many organic). Oil and water mix exceedingly well on the skin. As long as the oil is a plant source and not synthetic, it will not clog pores or feel heavy.

Oil cleanses oil better than anything. This fact may sound counter-intuitive to those who battle excess oil, but it is true. Quite simply, the skin is made up of oil and water, so we are recreating a condition that the skin can recognize. Plant oils act in a completely different manner on the skin than a synthetic oil. They are most efficient at cutting and dissolving excess oil, without leaving the skin feeling dry and tight. As we age, natural oil production begins to slow. Adding plant-based oil and water to the skin restores luster, and keeps pores clear and clean; resulting in skin with increased flexibility and suppleness.

Directions:
Massage into slightly moist skin morning and night. Rinse with warm then cool water. Follow with our Facial Tonic and Sea Algae Serum. Then apply the Day Moisturizer and/or Rosehip Treatment Oil.
